August in brief
As we navigate through August’s finance and fintech landscape, it’s clear that this month has been relatively calm. You may also want to check out our podcast with Fintech Daydreaming, where we dive deep into a few specific monthly topics.
Funding Highlights
This month saw only three funding rounds, marking the lowest activity of the year. Nevertheless, ESG & Impact remain the top picks for investors, consistently drawing attention throughout the year.
Partnerships
Open Banking payments continue to lead the way in partnership news. Additionally, we’ve seen some developments in cloud technology, artificial intelligence, and customer insights.
Banks
Traditional banks have taken a backseat in the news cycle after the Q2 reports. However, Klarna has made waves by moving closer to conventional banking with the introduction of their fund storage account.
