As you may have read from social media, Fintech Farm has started a collaboration with the one and only Fintech Daydreaming podcast, and from this month onwards, you will get a monthly podcast episode deep-diving into trends and most noteworthy news arising from the monthly industry review.
The first episode can be found below.
September in brief
As we’re now firmly entering fall, it’s time to reflect on the exciting industry news that unfolded in September.
As we can see, the industry is clearly getting back from summer break and gearing up for the second half of the year.
Funding:
Six monthly funding rounds go by the average trend. It’s safe to say that the “Fintech Winter” is over and we are closer to normal, but of course far away from what it was a few years ago when the bubble burst.
While Simple and Daysave raised early-stage funding, Enigio Time raised €6M, including €3M from their customer Lloyds.
Strise and Treyd secured significant series A funding rounds, and the total monthly funding sum for the industry was massive due to AlphaSense’s $150M series E funding.
Partnerships:
A significant number of new partnerships were established in September.
Payment and Open Banking infrastructure solutions are in high demand and remain as the cornerstone of fintech growth.
SME financing provider Froda and consumer finance app Rocker were strengthened with new features.
ESG & Climate fintechs Matter and Doconomy established global partnerships, proving that Nordics are paving the way within Impact.
Have a look at the news from September below and stay tuned for more!
